The POD X LED Safety Flare is a reusable red warning beacon that replaces burning highway flares: no fire, no smoke, no shelf life, and it will not roll under a car. It runs on three AAA batteries, so spares live in the glovebox and a dead flare is a ten-second fix at the roadside, not a charging cable you do not have.

Are LED flares legal to use on the highway?
Yes. No US state prohibits LED flares for disabled-vehicle warning, and many fleets and fire agencies prefer them because they are reusable and fire-safe. Commercial vehicles must also carry reflective triangles.
What batteries does it take?
Three AAA. Keep a spare set in the car and check them when you check the smoke detectors.
How long does a set of batteries last?
Many hours of use per set depending on mode; AAA alkalines also hold in storage for years, which is why we chose them over a rechargeable cell that goes flat in a trunk.
