Which POD X jump starter do I need?

The POD X XTREME (1000A) handles 12V gas engines up to full-size trucks and light-duty diesel, with 20 or more jumps per charge. The X1 Pro (2000A) is the compact glovebox unit for cars, SUVs, boats, and motorcycles. See the vehicle compatibility guide.

Will it start a diesel?

Yes, light-duty 12V diesel. Large displacement or cold-climate diesel benefits from the 2000A peak of the X1 Pro or the XTREME with a full charge.

How many times can it jump on one charge?

The XTREME performs 20 or more jump starts on a full charge. Recharge after every use and top up every three months.

Is it safe if I connect it wrong?

Yes. Intelli-Jump smart clamps block sparks, reverse polarity, and short circuits. Connect, wait for the green light, start the engine.

Can I fly with a POD X jump starter?

Yes, as carry-on. The watt-hour rating is under FAA limits. Never check it in luggage.

Does it work in cold weather?

Yes. Lithium loses some capacity when frozen, so keep the unit in the cabin rather than the trunk and warm it before use. Read jump starters in cold weather.

How long does it hold a charge?

Months. Top it up every three months and after every use.

What is the warranty?

Every POD X product includes a 12-month standard warranty against manufacturing defects. Register within 60 days of purchase, free, and coverage extends to a full 3 years. Coverage applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase and excludes physical damage, water damage beyond rated protection, and normal battery capacity decline.

How do I make a warranty claim?

What is your return policy?

Standard items may be returned within 30 days in original condition. Custom engraved items are final sale. See Shipping and Returns.

Can I get a knife or axe engraved?

Yes. Choose the engraving option on any POD X knife or axe product page for $5, type your text, and see a live preview on the wood handle before you order.

Where is the engraving placed?

On the wood handle. Up to 15 characters: letters, numbers, spaces, and periods.

Can I return an engraved item?

No. Engraved items are custom made and final sale. Please check spelling before ordering.

Survival kits and tools

Which survival kit should I buy?

The Mini kit for a glovebox or day hike, the Tactical kit for a daypack or truck door, the Ultimate kit for a trunk, RV, or home. Read which kit do I need, or use the kit builder.

What do the kits not include?

Water, food, and your prescriptions. Add those the day it arrives.

What steel are the axes and knives?

The XF132 axe is 65# manganese steel at HRC 60-65. The XF12 hatchet is 45# high carbon. The compact cleaver is heat-treated 3Cr13 stainless. See the knife steel guide.
