The 16-in-1 has a heavier head and one more tool, so it is better for camp work. The 15-in-1 is lighter and cheaper, better for a glovebox or gift.
Can it split firewood?
Kindling and small rounds, yes. Larger splitting wants a forged hatchet with a heavier head and a real lever of a handle.
Are the pliers full size?
They are multitool pliers, fine for fittings, nails, and holding hot things, not for heavy wrenching.
